Welcome to Creeds Elementary School! I am Robin D. Davenport (Mr. D) and this is my tenth year as principal. I was the assistant principal the previous two years at Creeds, and before that I served three years as an assistant principal elsewhere in the city. I was a teacher for nineteen and a half years in the Virginia Beach City Public Schools.

There are three unique aspects about my position at Creeds Elementary. First I attended the school during my elementary years (1958-1965). At that time the school housed grades 1-7. Second, my mother was the cafeteria manager for twenty years (1960-1980) at Creeds. Last, I am the first administrator to return to the school where I started. Being back where my education started, it is my goal to give back what was given to me. With the outstanding teachers that we have on staff, our students are given a truly varied education.

We are always updating and improving our curriculum to meet the needs of our students. We are one of the premier schools in the area using KAGAN strategies. Here, at Creeds, we pride ourselves on having a family atmosphere where parents, staff, students, and community members all work together to make Creeds Elementary School a little slice of heaven. We know we are the "best kept secret at the beach"! As you browse today, pay particular attention to our goals and beliefs. We truly believe we educate children to possibilities that await them in the future. I am very proud to be working with the finest group of instructional staff members, classified employees, students, and parents in the city.
